Netflix recently sent survey to selected individuals which is pretty much asking what they think about iPhone or iPad Application. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said that iPhone / iPad app could "come over time, but nothing in the short term." I think since iPad announcement came out, Netflix is actually going to develop iPhone app very soon!
With Netflix iPhone app you could stream movies from Netflix that are offered via “Watch Instantly” , but let’s not forget that Apple does not allow 3G streaming so you still will have to use Wi-Fi in order to video stream from Netflix.
The only problem Netflix will be facing is the no support for Flash. But I am sure they will figure it out how to get around it.
