On February 14, 2010, Samsung announced the official release of its signature smartphone, the Samsung Wave. Though still the world’s number two handset maker, Samsung has yet to land a device in the smartphone category that can truly compete with perennial powerhouses like the iPhone, BlackBerry, or Droid.

The S8500 is the first Samsung phone to be released on its new Bada platform. In the company’s official press release, Samsung promises that, “For the first time, developers have the freedom to create applications across multiple platforms, for consumption on a huge range of devices.” What remains to be seen is whether or not developers will dedicate their efforts to a platform that isn’t guaranteed to hold a significant share of the smartphone market. The Wave is expected to be available beginning in April 2010.

Here are my Impressions about WAVe on BADA :
Well in the beginning of December last year, Samsung unveiled that it is going to launch BADA. Everybody I guess was quite curious to operate new os by Samsung, on Samsung WAVE phone. It has definitely led to a complete reversal of winds. Though I haven’t purchase it till yet, but yes heard a lot about it. Stylish look,AMOLED touch screen, with 100 aaps howver the range would increase soon and Smartphone features is arguably forms the highlight of this phone.
