Apple Tablet Release Delayed Until June

If you’ve been anxiously waiting for the release of the new Apple Tablet you may have to hang in there a bit longer. The Apple Tablet is supposedly not shipping until June. The rumors around this Tablet are boggling my mind. Here’s the latest news: according to AppleInsider, while the Tablet is still going to be the star of  the big Apple Event January 27, it won’t actually ship for quite a bit longer. Shaw Wu with Kaufman Brothers sent notes to investors that indicated Apple is reportedly having some issues with the quality and life of the battery that may delay the release until June, if launch patterns follow those of the original iPhone in 2007.

The official introduction of the tablet is being heavily hyped, with descriptions ranging from souped up iPhone to a hybrid between iPhone and Mac. Wu indicated that the tablet is not intended to replace a mac but that it will function as something of a super iPhone, with multiple apps enhanced by a larger screen.

So who to believe? The Wall Street Journal, by contrast, predicts that the new product will ship in March. The price is also being heavily speculated, ranging from a one anyaly’sts $600 price to Wu’s estimated $999. Like everyone else, I’m hoping for the first price point.
