Today I was at “Iowa Central Bloggers” and we talked about StumbleUpon. I would say 70% of them did not know what StumbleUponis!
So I said ok maybe they are just not into social networks (even tho every single one of them is using Twitter or Digg!) I asked same question on Twitter and guess what many responded “What’s SU?”
Damn it people! StumbleUpon is really great website actually it’s my favorite among all when it comes to comparison to Digg, Mixx, Reddit, Tweetmeme and other like services..
StumbleUpon is a social network with some 9.000.000 users if not more? Once you sign up you pick your website preferences, which means you will get websites that you will “Stumble Upon” visit. Now the trick is that if you have many followers that are into same stuff, you can share those websites with them.
Another great use of StumbleUpon is to build traffic, I literary reached over 15.000 visitors in one day just from StumbleUpon because I wrote great content. And if you have great content trust me SU users will love you and share stuff.
Unlike Digg or services similar to Digg, you either have to be Super Digg Users or have already established website to land on front page right? SU does not judge people by how famous they are but they judge you by what you shared with others and to be honest I LOVE THAT about SU.
Another great feature that recently got released via SU is the SU.PR it’s wordpress plugin and website that shrinks your url and also gives you statistics such as how many clicks did you get, how many clicks from SU users did you get and on top of that you can share everything via Twitter (Oh yeah and you can schedule it to tweet later!!!)
If you haven’t used SU trust me you will love it once you sign up…(Man I sounded like I work for them right? No, I just love it so much!)
I bet you money if any of StumbleUpon users sees this article they will “Thumb Up” this post because they know what I am talking about!
